Oppo, help me pick!
2015 Used GTS
Or new 991.2??
EDIT :
In attempt to be less of a lazy poster, I will be DDing the car. Sadly both have PDK as I would prefer a manual. I know generally the base 991.2 will be a better DD, but the GTS with sport exhaust sounds fantastic.
Other item to note, this is up in Denver, so the 991.2 will take less of an altitude penalty.

I’d go for the GTS. You’ll be skipping that initial “driving off the lot” depreciation.

Absolutely one hubdred million percent 2015 GTS, do it, don’t even think about it, and thank me later.

If you’re daily driving it, the 991.2 would be better. Actually, it would be better at most everything. Unless you have some odd infatuation with an engine with less power that sounds only slightly better, get the new one.

There is no wrong answer to this question. There is however, a good answer and a better answer.
The better answer is GTS.

This is a question?
GTS! Looks great, and some other dude took the initial depreciation hit.

I wish, but it is still well outside of my price range. And I plan to DD it.

Another item to consider is I’ll be DD’ing it up here in Denver.

Ah I meant to say what about a C4 GTS? Or are you talking more about the elevation and turbos?

Moreso elevation penalty. I’m not too worried about snow, as I’ll have a winter beater to tackle that.
GTS amazingness with power loss or baby turbo power at elevation. Tough choice.

What did you pick? Or holding out for a manual?

Decided to wait and ordered the M2 in the mean time. It finished production today infact.
I’d prefer the 991.2 GTS, so I’ll wait for that to arrive next year, or pick up a 991.2S used and reap the ‘savings’.
Still dreaming of a GT3, even at altitude, it would be amazing. I’ve spotted a few locally, and one or two of them had the 100,000 mile warranty on the engine!

Today? Nice!! You told me your spec earlier, but are you doing ED again with this one?
991.2 GTS will surely be epic. GT3 is my long term dream as well. Very, very glad the manual is coming back (thanks to the 911 R).

Nah, This ones just coming into Houston, so no amazing Euro drive this time. Just a lengthy trip from Texas, to Tulsa, to Denver.

Not surprising with the holidays and whatnot. NEXT TIME with the Pcar!
Kind of man, I passed on my buddy’s GT4 now, but that’s life.

Haha - the M2 seems like a great car, but the GT4 is clearly on another level! Probably not the best to daily, though. Seems close to a track special that’s too low and harsh for many roads.
